Alaska Air Group to Open Premium Lounge in Honolulu by 2027
Alaska Air Group, following its September 2022 acquisition of Hawaiian Holdings, has revealed plans for a new premium lounge at Honolulu's Daniel K. Inouye International Airport. The lounge, set to open by the end of 2027, will be available to guests of both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines.
The new lounge, part of the Alaska Air Group's three-year strategic plan post-merger, will be five times larger than the existing one. It will be situated at the entrance of the Mauka Concourse in Terminal 1. The initial design concepts draw inspiration from Hawaii's diverse and unique nature, promising elements of surprise and discovery.
The combined airlines of the Alaska Air Group now offer nearly 1500 daily flights to 141 destinations, including 29 international ones. This expansion follows the merger of Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines, creating a stronger network across the region.
The Alaska Air Group's new premium lounge in Honolulu, slated for completion by the end of 2027, will enhance the travel experience for guests of both Hawaiian Airlines and Alaska Airlines. The lounge's size and design, inspired by Hawaii's natural beauty, reflect the group's commitment to improving its services and offerings.
