Get ready for a taste of the West Coast's finest culinary creations! Starting June 5, 2025, Alaska Airlines is bringing the kitchen to the clouds, collaborating with some of the best chefs on select flight routes. These seasonal menus, crafted at 35,000 feet, will rotate regularly, showcasing regional talent and flavor.

Back in 2024, Alaska Airlines joined forces with San Francisco's celebrated chef Brandon Jew. The partnership proved to be a success, paving the way for the introduction of Chef's (tray) Table — a rotating chef series that promises to delight your taste buds. The program kicks off with chef Brady Ishiwata Williams, creator of Seattle's acclaimed Tomo restaurant, which he named after his late grandmother Tomoko Ishiwata Bristol. A self-taught chef, Williams earned a James Beard Award for Best Chef, and his Japanese American heritage and artistic culinary style are sure to dazzle Alaska Airlines passengers.

Excited about the new venture, chef Brady Ishiwata Williams said, "Every dish and ingredient holds a story, and I'm incredibly proud to partner with an airline that values local business owners like me. This partnership has shown me Alaska's dedication to creating a refined inflight dining experience, transforming your tray table into a chef's table. I can't wait to share my kitchen creations with passengers in the sky."

Todd Traynor-Corey, Vice President of Guest Experience at Alaska Airlines, praises chef Williams and chef Jew for their unwavering dedication to their craft and deep roots in their communities. He believes their carefully crafted meals with top-notch ingredients will create unforgettable guest experiences for Alaska Airlines travelers.

Menu Highlights

Starting June 5, 2025, chef Brady Ishiwata Williams' exclusive menu will be available on flights between Seattle and John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. To tailor the dining experience, Alaska Airlines offers a digital pre-order system through its mobile app, allowing First Class guests to select their meals up to two weeks in advance. This not only ensures meal preference availability but also aligns with the airline's commitment to reducing food waste.

All passengers can enjoy the First Class service, including those traveling in the Main Cabin. The menu includes a Mochi Waffle & Fried Chicken, Klingemann Farms Glazed Short Ribs, and Buckwheat Soba with Ahi-Tuna Tataki.

Alaska Airlines' launch of the "Chef's (tray) Table" marks a bold move to step up its premium service game. By focusing on chef-driven menus and regional flair, the airline aims to stand out and offer passengers an unparalleled inflight dining experience.
