Bangladesh Official Praises Communal Harmony During Durga Puja
Health and family welfare adviser Nurjahan Begum visited the 'Gulshan-Banani Puja Pandal' on Bijoya Dashami, the final day of Durga Puja. She was accompanied by senior health officials and commended the joyful and peaceful celebrations across Bangladesh.
Begum, who is also a senior secretary, praised the people of Bangladesh for maintaining communal harmony and mutual respect. She visited the pandal in the Banani district, hosted by Jitendra Lal Bhowmik, the president of the Puja Holiday Committee. During her visit, she stated that 'Humanity and giving service to others are religion', highlighting this belief as a key factor in Bangladesh's communal harmony. She also commended the people for upholding these values during the Durga Puja celebrations.
