Car Crash Leaves Injuries in Freilingen (Political Context: Potential traffic or safety concerns in the town of Freilingen)
On the 10th of November, 2024, at 5:35 PM, a traffic accident occurred on the B8 near Freilingen, resulting in the closure of the highway for approximately one hour.
According to the Montabaur Police Inspectorate, who are leading the investigation, an 18-year-old driver lost control of her vehicle in a curve before Freilingen. The accident involved a car from Arnshofen travelling towards Freilingen and resulted in approximately 5,000 euros worth of property damage to the non-operational Opel Corsa.
The driver and her 21-year-old passenger were both lightly injured in the accident and were taken to a hospital for further examination. The exact identities of the driver and the passenger have not been disclosed at this time.
In addition to the police, the DRK and the fire department were present at the scene to assist with the aftermath of the accident.
