Cathay Pacific Increases Airline Services in Australia and New Zealand, Expanding Travel Choices for Passengers
Cathay Pacific, the world-renowned airline, is set to significantly boost its presence in Australia and New Zealand from late October 2025. The expansion will see an increase in flight frequencies to key cities, enhancing travel options for passengers and freight alike.
In Australia, Cathay Pacific will operate double daily services from Brisbane and Perth, bringing each city to 14 weekly flights. Sydney and Melbourne will continue with their multiple daily flights. Seasonal services to Adelaide will resume with thrice-weekly flights from 12 November 2025 to 27 March 2026, while a new seasonal service to Cairns will start operating three times weekly from 10 December 2025 to 28 February 2026.
In New Zealand, Cathay Pacific is boosting its presence with an increase to 11 weekly flights from Auckland starting on 2 December 2025. Seasonal services to Christchurch will return from early December 2025 to the end of February 2026.
This expansion will bring Cathay Pacific to nearly 100 weekly flights connecting Australia and New Zealand with Hong Kong in the peak southern hemisphere summer season. The airline's extensive global reach will continue to include cities in Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa, Oceania, Asia, and China (Mainland).
