Kicking off the summer festivities is the Open Air Oettersdorf from July 25 to 27, 2025. This three-day event promises a diverse mix of blues, punk rock, German rock, and indie, attracting music lovers from far and wide.

From July 31 to August 2, the Full Rewind Festival will take place in Löbnitz near Leipzig, with American metal band Machine Head as the first headliner. This year's festival will be more international than ever, with a unique blend of Sahel Sounds from Niger meeting Leipzig indie-pop, and Belgian electro meeting rock from Greiz.

The Highfield Festival, an indie-rock festival featuring national and international music greats, will take place from August 17th to 25th at the Sturmthal Lake in Großpösna near Leipzig.

For opera enthusiasts, the Erfurt Domstufen-Festspiele will present the opera "La Bohème" by Giacomo Puccini in the summer of 2025. The opera will be staged on the steps of the Erfurt Cathedral, with many more dates until August 31st. Tickets usually sell out quickly for this popular event.

Confirmed acts include The Kooks, Nina Chuba, K.I.Z., Deichkind, Clueso, Blond, Paula Hartmann, Kontra K, Ikkimel, Madsen, Von Wegen Lisbeth, Bilderbuch, and Alli Neumann.
