Zanzibar, an archipelago located in the Indian Ocean, approximately 40 km off the east coast of Tanzania, is set to be a popular destination this autumn-winter season. The Republican Union of Tourism Organizations has announced Zanzibar as a spotlight destination, with tour operators estimating that prices for the new season are quite attractive.

The island is renowned for its beautiful beaches, coral reefs, and rich culture that blends Arabic, Persian, Indian, and African elements. Notable attractions include the ancient Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and the larger island of Unguja, often referred to as Zanzibar Island.

For those planning a trip, tour agencies are offering bookings for autumn-winter trips. For instance, a package for two (10 nights) in October 2023, including flights and accommodation in a three-star hotel with breakfast, is priced at $2880. However, it's important to note that this price does not include any additional expenses such as meals, activities, or transportation beyond the hotel.

Starting from October 1, 2024, all guests visiting Zanzibar must purchase medical insurance from Zanzibar Insurance Corporation. This insurance covers emergency medical assistance, accidents, baggage delay or theft, and other unforeseen situations.

Belarusians can obtain a visa upon arrival at international airports in Tanzania, including Zanzibar. The climate on the archipelago is warm and very humid, making it an ideal place for ocean relaxation and diving activities.

The archipelago also boasts various beaches, including Nungwi and Kendwa. Zanzibar, a sunny island, is currently a popular destination, offering a unique blend of culture, history, and natural beauty.

Travellers should note that the insurance requirement for Zanzibar travel starts in October 2024. It's advisable to plan ahead and factor in the cost of the insurance when budgeting for the trip.

With its attractive prices, rich culture, and beautiful beaches, Zanzibar is shaping up to be a must-visit destination for the autumn-winter season.
