flydubai Announces New Flights to Nairobi, Boosting Connectivity Between UAE and East Africa

In an exciting development, flydubai, a Dubai-based airline, has announced the launch of new flights to Nairobi, Kenya, effective October 15, 2025. The flights will operate four times a week from Dubai International's Terminal 3, serving Nairobi International Airport.

This expansion is part of flydubai's ongoing efforts to strengthen air connectivity between the UAE and Kenya. Nairobi, often referred to as East Africa's economic and cultural hub, is a popular destination for business, tourism, and its unique proximity to Nairobi National Park.

The new service to Nairobi will offer more convenient options for both business and leisure travelers. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, made the announcement, stating that the expansion supports stronger economic and cultural ties between the UAE and Africa.

The move highlights the growing demand for travel and trade links between the UAE and Kenya. Return fares for the Dubai-Nairobi route start from AED 1,700 in Economy Class and AED 4,500 in Business Class.

In addition to the new Nairobi service, flydubai will also increase its Mombasa service to a daily schedule starting October 1, 2025. This increase will bring flydubai's total weekly flights to Kenya to 11. However, the new routes to Nairobi will not affect the daily Mombasa service.

flydubai currently serves 12 destinations in Africa, including Nairobi, and the new service is expected to further boost connectivity between the UAE and the wider East African region.

With the addition of the Nairobi service, flydubai will operate its flights to Kenya four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday). This expansion continues flydubai's commitment to providing affordable and efficient travel options for passengers.

As East Africa continues to grow as a major economic and tourism hub, the new flights to Nairobi are a significant step in strengthening the ties between the UAE and Kenya, and the wider East African region.
