The Marie Grenzenlos Foundation, established under the Bürgerstiftung, is a generous initiative at MCG providing students with the opportunity to broaden their horizons by studying abroad. This foundation was made possible by a generous donation from Anke Henrich, a daughter of a single mother, who aims to enable international experiences for children in similar situations.

The Marie Grenzenlos Foundation plays a significant role in supporting and encouraging students to engage in international education. It offers financial aid, facilitates access to international study programs, and motivates students to expand their global perspectives and academic experiences.

Students who are selected for the program can aim to visit countries such as Sweden, Holland, England, and Poland as part of their international stays. To ensure academic success, performances during the international stay should at least be satisfactory.

The application documents for the international stay program are available at the school secretary's office. Wolfgang Steinert, deputy chairman of Bün and tax advisor, discreetly and confidentially checks the eligibility for the program, which is compared to that of a student BAföG, and a passion for a particular subject or social commitment is required.

The board of trustees for the "Marie Grenzenlos" program includes Barbel Kremers-Gerads, Wolfgang Steinert, Dieter Steins, principal Stefan Holl, and Anke Henrich (or her daughter if necessary). Six students have already applied for the international stay program.

One third of the donation from Anke Henrich goes into the capital of the Bürgerstiftung, while two thirds benefit MCG students. Students of class 10 (EF level) at MCG are offered an international stay of up to six months, including pocket money.

Carlotta Berlett, a graduate of MCG, had a wonderful school experience there. The Marie Grenzenlos Foundation is not just a consumption foundation, but it is also cultivating the idea of Europe, encouraging students to embrace diverse cultures and perspectives.

The funds from Marie Grenzenlos will take several years to be fully spent, providing opportunities for many students to embark on their international journeys. For more specific details about the foundation’s eligibility criteria, application process, or partner institutions, it is recommended to check directly with MCG or the foundation’s official communications.

The Marie Grenzenlos Foundation, through its focus on education-and-self-development and travel, aims to broaden students' horizons by facilitating an Other lifestyle of international study, immersing them in diverse cultures and perspectives, thereby cultivating a global understanding.

Students participating in the program could potentially incorporate travel to countries such as Sweden, Holland, England, and Poland, which may contribute to their diverse education-and-self-development experiences.
