European hospitality company, Frenchospitality, chooses eviivo to manage mixed collection spread across Europe
Paris-based hospitality group, Frenchospitality, has streamlined its operations and enhanced performance across its diverse portfolio, following the adoption of eviivo's all-in-one hotel management platform. Operating in various European locations, including Paris, Bordeaux, and Toulouse, Frenchospitality boasts standout properties such as the 1.75 Paris hotels and the 4-star aparthotel Montmartre Paris Suite.
Mathieu Weiss, COO and Co-founder of Frenchospitality, sought a more flexible and cost-effective solution capable of handling the group's unique operational model. In search of a solution, Frenchospitality switched to eviivo, a trusted provider of hotel technology that focuses on essential features like deep multi-property channel integrations and communications, including WhatsApp and SMS.
Following the switch, Frenchospitality has achieved significant cost efficiency. The group reduced its technology spending from 4% of its annual revenue to just over 1%, representing a 75% reduction in tech costs. This saving was largely due to replacing multiple tools—including PMS, channel manager, CRM, booking engine, and payment processor—with a single platform. For instance, a 40-room hotel in Paris could save up to €9,000 per month. Additionally, by retaining its preferred payment gateway through eviivo, Frenchospitality saved up to 2% per transaction.
Moreover, Frenchospitality has seen a marked improvement in its direct booking rates. The group reached a 35% direct booking rate across properties using eviivo, significantly exceeding the global average direct booking rate of around 20%. This uplift is attributed to Frenchospitality's direct booking offers combined with eviivo’s high-converting booking engine and advanced guest communication tools, including WhatsApp integration.
Weiss highlighted the advanced API and OTA connections, and the WhatsApp integration as key factors in their switch to eviivo. eviivo's payments functionality provides Frenchospitality full optionality, allowing the group to use their own merchant accounts and banking relationships, enabling them to retain their preferred payment gateway and save up to 2% per transaction.
With operations in several other European locations, Frenchospitality's expansion is underway. Weiss stated that the group now plans to use eviivo in its entire expanding portfolio. This strategic move will not only continue to boost profitability but also ensure operational efficiency as Frenchospitality continues to grow.
