The TimeOut CardPlus, a project that offers access to over 100 leisure and cultural facilities in North Hesse, has been nominated for the Hessian Demography Award 2025. This award, which started in 2010, honours projects that make rural life future-proof and promote rural regions.

The TimeOut CardPlus is a unique model for how leisure can become a public service, particularly in areas where demographic change is noticeable. For a price of 79 euros for adults and 59 euros for children, the card offers a year's access to museums, amusement parks, nature experiences, escape rooms, spas, and more.

The Hessian Demography Award aims to showcase fresh ideas that many Hessians in rural regions are using to enhance the quality of life. Six projects were nominated for this year's award, including the TimeOut CardPlus.

The initiative is not just beneficial for families but also strengthens the region by supporting local businesses and encouraging locals to rediscover their surroundings. The award ceremony for the Hessian Demography Award 2025 will take place on August 27 in the State Chancellery in Wiesbaden.

The Hessian State Chancellery is awarding the Hessian Demography Prize for the twelfth time in 2025. The Demography Award is a significant part of the state government's strategy to strengthen rural areas and promote demographic change. Lastly, the theme for the Demography Award 2019 was "Where ideas have room to grow - Life in the countryside!".

The TimeOut CardPlus not only promotes local businesses within North Hesse's home-and-garden and leisure sectors but also provides its holders with a variety of travel experiences, ranging from museum visits to nature excursions. This initiative, which has been nominated for the Hessian Demography Award 2025, aims to improve rural lifestyle through accessible cultural and leisure facilities, reflecting the award's theme of making rural life future-proof and promoting rural regions.
