IRCC Issues 277 ITAs in PNP-Specific Express Entry Draw

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 277 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) in the latest Express Entry draw held on September 24, 2024, at 3:46 p.m. Universal Coordinated Time (UTC). The draw focused on candidates from the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), marking the first PNP-specific draw of the month.

This draw follows a series of Express Entry selections that have primarily targeted PNP candidates throughout the year. Previous draws included a Canadian Experience Class (CEC) draw on May 13 and a PNP draw on May 12, along with two category-based selections under healthcare and education categories.

To be considered in this draw, candidates needed a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 726. The CRS is a points-based system used by IRCC to evaluate and rank candidates based on factors such as work experience, education, language skills, and other human capital factors. It was introduced in 2015 as part of the Express Entry system to select skilled worker candidates most likely to succeed in Canada's job market.

So far in 2025, IRCC has issued a total of 34,717 ITAs through the Express Entry system. Express Entry immigrants have consistently shown high employment rates, strong earnings, and low unemployment rates, demonstrating the effectiveness of the CRS in facilitating successful integration into the Canadian workforce.

With this draw, IRCC continues to manage immigration effectively, targeting candidates who are most likely to contribute to Canada's economy and society. The Express Entry system, with its CRS, has proven to be a successful tool in selecting skilled immigrants who can quickly integrate into the Canadian job market.
