Pössl Roadstar XT Camper Van: A New Affordable Off-Road Option

Pössl, a specialist camper van manufacturer based in Ainring, Upper Bavaria, has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of the new Pössl Roadstar XT. This six-meter-long off-road camper van serves as an alternative to the Roadstar X, offering a more affordable basic all-wheel-drive Sprinter-based model.

The Roadstar XT features a fixed rear design instead of a slide-out, providing more stable sidewalls, increased width, and more storage space. The bed length extends up to 2.10 meters with generous storage underneath. The high-quality offroad-style interior boasts metal details, indirect lighting, and smart storage.

Series-standard equipment includes a 185 Ah lithium battery, with an optional upgrade to a 370 Ah battery, and a Truma diesel heater for increased autonomy. The kitchen design uses a narrowing block towards the rear to widen the central aisle, improving standing space in the narrow Sprinter van. The compressor fridge includes double door hinges allowing easy access from outside the van.

Optional features include the integration of the Tedford S separation toilet for improved hygiene and comfort. The Roadstar XT is positioned as a functional, comfortable, and offroad-capable variant with modern tech and high build quality, yet simpler and possibly more affordable than the Roadstar X.

Pössl has also introduced several updates to its other models. The Clever sister brand introduces two new models for the new model year: the Drive Line with a fourth layout and the Clever Drive 600 Kids. The Summit series now includes the layout 600 L, offering single beds in a six-meter camper van.

In the Burstner Runner series, the Runner 636 Active has been added at the top, which houses a 1.95 x 1.88 meter elevating bed in the rear. The Pössl Group is lowering the price level again by adding extensive equipment packages at "bargain prices." Larger 100-liter refrigerators, new woods, more indirect lighting, and a new washbasin are introduced in the Summit series.

For those interested in the Roadstar XT, Pössl is offering the first 100 units at a base price of 90,000 euros, considered a bargain for an all-wheel-drive Sprinter motorhome. For pricing details, explicit figures are not provided in the latest sources. However, the Roadstar XT is described as the basic version of the Roadstar X, implying it is priced lower. The Roadstar X features may include more luxury touches and slide-out options, possibly reflected in a higher price point.

If exact pricing is critical, you may want to check with Pössl's dealer network or wait for the official Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2025 presentation where the series version and prices are expected to be released.
