Born and raised in the musician's quarter of Wuppertal-Heckinghausen, Dörte discovered her passion for art, music, and theater early in life. She pursued her passion by studying special education and singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln, and has been teaching voice and presentation there since 1999.

She has also maintained a presence on Radio Wuppertal, humorous commenting on regional topics for over 12 years.

A testament to her impact is the "Rheinlandtaler" award she received in 2022, recognizing her contributions to the cultural landscape of the region. Dörte continues to serve the community, founding a neighborhood theater in Heckinghausen, the "Wunderbaren," and volunteering with the "Barmen Urban" organization.

Looking ahead, plans for a new music theater piece are in the works, aiming to humorously and seriously address the current challenges faced by inner cities. Dörte's work continues to bridge cultural gaps and enrich the community through various artistic and educational initiatives.
