Royal Mews will be home to a new Christmas-themed, first-time retail venture by Buckingham Palace
The Royal Mews, a significant part of the working stables of Buckingham Palace, is set to undergo a festive transformation this winter. From the 14th of November 2025, the historic stables will be transformed into a seasonal boutique, offering a unique shopping experience for visitors.
Named the Buckingham Palace Christmas Shop, the pop-up store will showcase products inspired by Britain's rich royal heritage. The shop, run by the Royal Collection Trust, a charity responsible for caring for and conserving the royal family's extensive art collection, promises to be one of London's iconic winter destinations, combining royal history with Christmas tradition in the heart of the capital.
Visitors can expect to find a wide variety of gifts catering to different types of Christmas lists. Shelves will be lined with gourmet delicacies and seasonal tipples, including gin infused with botanicals grown on the grounds of royal residences such as Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle. Crystal wine glasses with a delicate pattern of knotted vines and grape leaves, inspired by Queen Victoria's Grand Punch Bowl, will also be available.
Homeware inspired by the historic Great Kitchen at Windsor Castle will be on display, offering a chance to bring a touch of palatial flair to everyday living. Exclusive Royal Collection pieces will also be available for purchase, making this a perfect place to find unique and special gifts.
Handcrafted Christmas tree ornaments from India, depicting palace guards, royal animals, crown jewels, and seasonal symbols, will add a traditional touch to the festive decor.
The shop's opening provides a rare opportunity for visitors to step inside the Royal Mews during the winter months, as the stables usually close to the public at this time of year. The shop can be found on Buckingham Palace Road, London SW1W 0QH, and is within easy walking distance of Victoria, Green Park, and St. James's Park Underground stations.
All profits from the pop-up shop will go towards supporting the work of the Royal Collection Trust. Entry to the Buckingham Palace Christmas Shop is free and does not require advance booking. The range of items will also be available online or through the permanent Royal Collection Trust Shops in London, Edinburgh, and Windsor.
So, this festive season, step into the magical world of the royal family and soak up the festive spirit at the Buckingham Palace Christmas Shop. It's a perfect place to enjoy a memorable holiday shopping experience.
