Saudis Arabia travel for Belarusians will now be facilitated via Moscow, easing the journey.

In an exciting development for international travel, direct flights between Russia and Saudi Arabia are scheduled to commence in October 2025. This initiative, aimed at boosting tourism exchanges and business contacts between the two countries, will see two airlines, Saudia and Flynas, operating flights between the two nations.

Saudia, the Saudi national airline, will operate flights from Riyadh to Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport, running five times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, starting from mid-October 2025. Meanwhile, Flynas, a Saudi low-cost carrier, has received permission to operate four flights per week between Riyadh and Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, starting earlier, from August 1, 2025, until October 25, 2025.

Passengers travelling on these new routes will find changes in carry-on luggage policies, particularly with Ryanair. The airline has increased the free baggage allowance by 20%, allowing passengers to bring items measuring up to 40x30x20 cm on board, free of charge. The weight limit for carry-on luggage on Ryanair remains less than 10 kg, and the luggage must fit under the seat in front of the passenger.

Currently, travel to Saudi Arabia from Belarus requires a layover in Istanbul or Dubai. However, Belarusians may also benefit from these new flights, as announced by the Republic Union of Tourism Organizations. The specific airport in Riyadh for the flights has not been specified, and the new flights do not specify a destination in Belarus.

It is worth noting that no information has been provided regarding the duration of the flights or the prices of the tickets for the Riyadh-Moscow route. The new carry-on luggage size limit for Ryanair is 40x30x20 cm, and the specific airport in Moscow for the Flynas flights is Vnukovo.

This new air connectivity reflects growing tourism demand and relaxed travel regulations, including possible visa waivers, offering exciting opportunities for both leisure and business travel between Russia and Saudi Arabia.

Travelers looking for budget-friendly options can consider Flynas, a Saudi low-cost carrier, which operates four flights per week between Riyadh and Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, starting earlier, from August 1, 2025. With this new air connectivity, one can expect a significant change in lifestyle, as the growing tourism demand and relaxed travel regulations between Russia and Saudi Arabia open doors for various leisure and business travel opportunities.
