Trip OverviewThe adventure starts and ends in San Jose del Cabo, then heads to the Revillagigedo Archipelago, including Socorro Island, Roca Partida, and San Benedicto Island. Get ready to dive your heart out, as the Rocio del Mar offers 4 dives a day (weather permitting)!

Day-by-Day Itinerary

  1. Day 1: The Rocio Del Mar will be waiting for you at 5 PM, with dinner served at 7 PM and departure following.
  2. Day 2: Arrival in San Benedicto.
  3. Day 3: San Benedicto, with 4 dives scheduled.
  4. Day 4: Roca Partida, with 3 dives scheduled.
  5. Day 5: Roca Partida, with 3 dives scheduled.
  6. Day 6: Socorro Island, with 4 dives scheduled (naval station check-in).
  7. Day 7: Socorro Island, with 4 dives scheduled.
  8. Day 8: San Benedicto, with 4 dives scheduled. At this point, we'll start our journey back to San Jose del Cabo.
  9. Day 9: Arrival at San Jose del Cabo. Guests may snooze on the boat.
  10. Day 10: Disembark after breakfast by 8:30 AM.

Dive OverviewBrace yourself for an experience of a lifetime, with huge ocean pelagic critters like blue sharks, tiger sharks, Galapagos sharks, dolphins, tuna, barracudas, schools of jacks, and of course, the friendliest mantas on earth! This is also humpback whale season, and if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of one passing by underwater.

Trip TypeThis trip is a PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP, led by one of our photo instructors daily. Each workshop offers a custom syllabus, as detailed on the trip webpage. The syllabus will include sessions on wide-angle photography, focusing techniques, exposure basics, composition, image editing, and more, tailored to your skill level.

Trip SyllabusBluewater’s Socorro photo workshop with Dan Bishop focuses on learning how to create captivating images in Socorro's big animal habitat. The workshop will feature 9 days of formal instruction plus 1:1 help as required. Topics will include wide-angle photography fundamentals, one-time camera setup, focusing techniques, exposure principles, composition, and more.

About the Rocio Del MarRocio Del Mar is one of the most well-loved liveaboards in the area, offering quality service and delicious fare. The vessel features 10 cabins for up to 20 divers, all with private bathrooms, hot showers, Western-style toilets, above-height windows, carpeting, air-conditioning, and clothing storage drawers. Flight InformationGuests need to fly into Los Cabos International Airport (SJD) and take a taxi to Marina Puerto Los Cabos. The boat is located by Hotel El Ganzo. On the return, we'll arrive in San Jose del Cabo during the early hours of the last day of the trip, February 28. Guests must disembark by 8:30 AM, and transfers are not included. Guests can book additional nights near the airport at Tropicana Inn, Hotel El Ganzo, or El Encanto Inn & Suites. Mention the Rocio Del Mar for a 10% discount at El Encanto Inn.
