Strawberry Farm first to erect a hotel on Karl's property
Opening This Sunday: Karls-Bande Hotel at Karls Erlebnisdorf
after six months of rapid construction, Karls Erlebnisdorf is set to unveil its very first Karls-Bande Hotel this coming Sunday. The amusement park, located along the A14 in Saxony, has been experiencing a surge in visitors since its opening in March 2024.
The hotel offers spacious, air-conditioned family rooms for up to five guests, each equipped with a 50-inch smart TV, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a private terrace featuring a pallet beach chair. Bathrooms include rainfall showers.
Rooms at the Karls-Bande Hotel start at 102 euros per night for two people. Children under four years old stay for free, while those between four and 14 years old pay 30 euros per night. An additional bed can accommodate up to five people per room, and pet-friendly rooms cost an additional 20 euros per night. Guests can enjoy free day passes to the Karls Erlebnisdorf park, which offers a multitude of attractions.
Breakfast, priced at 14.90 euros, will be available for hotel guests at the adjacent amusement park from 8 am. To get to the farm kitchen for breakfast, guests can simply hop aboard the LPG "Rote Rübe" park train.
Karls Erlebnisdorf's CEO, Robert Dahl, stated to BILD that sufficient staff will be available to assist guests, despite the hotel's minimal staffing.
Strawberries have played a significant role in Dahl's success. He began his fruit farming venture in Rövershagen, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, in 1992, with just 13 sales kiosks near Rostock. Today, six experience villages have been established based on this initial venture, with three more in development. Moreover, a "Bibi and Tina" park is currently being planned.
