ITA Volare, the Italian airline, has announced a new promotion for its members called the "Promo Cashback Award Ticket." This promotion offers a points rebate for flights booked using Volare points, making it an attractive opportunity for travellers with short-notice plans or flexibility to travel in August.
The promotion, valid from July 10 to August 31, 2025, requires booking flights and completing travel by the respective deadlines. The points rebate varies depending on the type of flight: 10% for domestic itineraries, 20% for international, and 25% for intercontinental itineraries.
To qualify for the rebate, eligible flights must be operated by ITA, as the offer does not extend to partner flights. If an itinerary includes both ITA and partner flights, the rebate will only apply to the ITA-operated portion.
The rebate will be credited to your account within 60 days of an eligible flight, and it does not qualify as a status-activity. It's important to note that the rebate offer applies only to ITA-operated flights.
In other news, ITA Volare has left SkyTeam and is in the process of integrating into Star Alliance. Currently, the airline operates a standalone loyalty program, but it is expected to merge into the Miles & More program used by the Lufthansa Group of airlines in the near future.
