Affordable Luxury: Zara Home's Latest Collab with Vincent Van Duysen

Weekly Highlights: Selections from Our Editors
This week has been quite the whirlwind. After a delightful lunch with the legendary artist Dame Rachel Whiteread, I jeted off to Antwerp for dinner with Inditex chair Marta Ortega Pérez and the ever-talented Vincent Van Duysen. The occasion? The launch of his fourth collection for Zara Home.
Now, I'll admit, I wasn't too familiar with Zara Home before this shindig. But let me tell ya, Van Duysen filled his abode with pieces from the collection – rugs, sofas, tables, a desk, lamps, and some cushy cream carpets – and the garden with the outdoor line. Let me put it this way: Zara Home should be proud to have such an original talent in their corner, crafting quality goods with timeless charm.
Brooklyn Bites on a Budget
Anna Solomon, Digital Staff Writer
A frenetic weekend in manic Manhattan came to an end with a much-neededGetaway to Brooklyn to catch up with pals who happen to be experts at sniffing out tasty, un-ravaged dining spots that have yet to be graced by the mighty New Yorker review. Their pick? Kellogg's Diner in Williamsburg – the perfect spot for a quintessential American experience. Now under new ownership, the diner serves up obligatory pancakes alongside Tex-Mex at an unbelievable price point, all nestled within decor reinterpreting retro Americana.
For those seeking a slice of France, there's beloved bistro Bar Tabac in Cobble Hill, with its antique-filled atmosphere, live jazz, and to-die-for chocolate fondant. Lastly, for the wine enthusiasts, Liar Liar in Gowanus serves up fantastic steak frites and bottles of red at prices that will have you asking, "Did I just come from Manhattan?"
Luna Inspires a Lunar Omakase
Ellie Stathaki, Architecture and Environment Director
An evening at Luna Omakase in the heart of London had me falling in love with Japanese dining all over again. This traditional feast, literally translating to "I leave it up to you", usually involves a multi-course meal prepared by an expert chef. Luna's chefs have created dishes inspired by the moon's journey throughout the year, making for a truly immersive and memorable dining experience. From mouthwatering nigiri, creative wasabi uses, and contemporary snacks and sandwiches, the flavors were strong – just like my sitting aligned with the strawberry full moon.
High Tech, High Style

My week took me not one but two trips across the pond, starting with a trip to Big Sky, Montana, to sample Bentley's revamped lineup, followed by a dash to Apple's WWDC25 in sunny California. Apple Park was a sight to behold, with Foster + Partners' stunning architecture standing up to scrutiny, and the attention to design detail nothing short of mind-blowing.

A Garden-Infused Tea Party
Sofia de la Cruz, Travel Editor
I recently savored a peaceful and indulgent afternoon tea at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, celebrating the partnership with Cadogan Gardens in Knightsbridge. From lavender chocolate barquettes to honeycomb strawberry tarts, the flavors and aromas of traditional English gardens were beautifully reflected in the delicate pastries. The soothing atmosphere, enhanced by classical music, made for the perfect escape.
East London Summer Fête
Anne Soward, Production Editor
This week I was invited to the Museum of the Home's summer party, showcasing the incredible work they do throughout the year. The party took place in the captivating walled garden, a series of "garden rooms" that reflect the evolution of English urban gardens across the centuries. We were treated to performances by Yuko Tsubame and Akinori Fujimoto, a viewing of World Food Photography Award images, and bites from local favorites like Sen Viet and Daniel's.

A Twinkle in Japan

I recently embarked on a journey to Kyoto to celebrate the launch of Chanel's stunning new high jewelry collection, "Reach for the Stars." The collection, unveiled at the beautiful Shogunzuka Seiryuden, is a visual delight and a testament to Chanel's dedication to crafting truly remarkable pieces. The grand dinner was capped off with a breathtaking drone light show that showcased Gabrielle Chanel's beloved motifs in the sky.
