Young filmmakers hailing from the Greater Region have gained significant attention, with Creajeune being the latest to emerge in the 18th round of the filmmaking industry.

The 18th edition of the Créajeune cross-border youth film competition is now open for young filmmakers from the Greater Region, including Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, Luxembourg, and Wallonia. This competition, designed for children, youth, and young adults, encourages creativity and storytelling across borders.

The official call for entries invites participants to submit exciting stories, creative music videos, or moving topics. There are no age restrictions for the music video category, allowing all participants up to the age of 29 to participate.

To register, interested individuals are advised to visit the official Créajeune website (www.creajeune.eu/anmeldung-inscription) for the most up-to-date registration details and form download. Alternatively, one can look for announcements or contact local cultural centres involved in the festival for more assistance.

The competition is organised by a cross-border network consisting of Saarland Film Office e.V., Ligue de l'Enseignement/FOL Moselle, Rencontres Documentaires de l'IRTS de Lorraine, EuRegio SaarLorLux, and the Regionalverband Saarbrücken.

The best contributions will be showcased at festivals in Saarbrücken, Metz, and Luxembourg, providing a platform for young filmmakers to exhibit their work. The deadline for film submissions is November 1, 2025.

This year's edition is supported by various partners, including the Saarland Ministry of Education and Culture, the Saarland State Chancellery, Arbeit und Kultur Saarland gGmbH, the Grand Est Region, Passeurs d'Images, the Ville de Metz, the Städtenetz Quattropole, the Saarland Central Agency for Political Education, and other sponsors.
